A VR game based on motion sensors inspired by the unique gameplay mechanics of Super Hot to craft an immersive experience, where time only moves forward when the player moves. The use of motion sensors adds an extra layer of interactivity, allowing players to physically dodge bullets and strategize their movements with precision.

My role in the project
This project was developed with a strong focus on immersion, physical interaction, and player presence in a virtual space.
My main contributions to the project were the implementation of the game’s core mechanic — inspired by Superhot — where time only moves when the player moves, and the development of the enemy AI systems.
Core Features & Techniques
⏱️ Time Control Mechanic
I created a system that adjusts the game’s time scale in real time based on the player’s physical movement in VR.
This mechanic adds a layer of strategy and immersion, rewarding players who stay calm and deliberate in their movements.
🤖 Enemy AI
I developed two distinct enemy behaviors:
- Melee enemy: Approaches the player and performs a close-range attack when within striking distance.
- Ranged enemy: Detects the player, aims, and fires using a pistol. Once out of ammo, it throws the weapon at the player and switches to melee behavior.
🧪 VR QA & Comfort Testing
I also took on the role of QA during development, testing regularly to ensure the game was comfortable to play in VR — minimizing motion sickness, disorientation, and ensuring stable framerates during gameplay.
Key Outcomes
This project helped me better understand VR game design constraints and taught me how to implement responsive, immersive gameplay mechanics within a motion-controlled environment. It was a highly collaborative and hands-on experience that combined technical problem solving with player-focused design iteration.
Project Goal
The main goal of our project is to deliver an exciting and immersive experience that fully leverages the capabilities of virtual reality and motion sensors. We hope players will enjoy the combination of strategic action and physical movement we offer in our game.
